Respect for the origins
Neapolitan pizza, in the version we know with tomato sauce and mozzarella, came about in the late 1800s when the Italian sovereigns at the time, King Umberto I and Queen Margherita, paid a visit to Naples. The queen loved this invention so much that “Margherita pizza” was named after her.
Its unmistakable features are its round shape, the thin, soft center and thick crust, called “cornicione” or edge. We at ITALPIZZA couldn’t not pay homage to the origins of this iconic Italian dish. That’s why we created the Gran Pizzeria line to bring the authentic flavor of Neapolitan tradition right to your home.
Tradition and innovation
The way we work to create Gran Pizzeria pizzas fully honors tradition: the dough, soft and stretchy, is left to rise for more than 24 hours. It’s then stretched by hand, careful to make the classic “cornicione”.
The extremely fresh ingredients ensure the flavor: 100% Italian tomato sauce and flour from Italian mills. You can choose from traditional, 100% wholegrain, or organic khorasan dough. Give in to the temptation!
